Katarina Ivanović

Katarina Ivanović, born in Veszprém or Szekesfehervar in Hungary in 1811 or 1817 and died in Székesfehérvár September 22, 1882, is a Yugoslav painter of Serbian origin, who lived mainly in Hungary.
After studying in Budapest, she worked in Belgrade from 1846 to 1847. She was also the first Serbian artist to stay in Paris after 1840. She became famous for his still lifes, but also for his portraits, the style that some have described as "Ingres", referring to the French painter Ingres.
